Abstract


Abstract. The research is motivated by the researcher's curiosity to find out whether the ultra-short interval sprint training form method contributes to the improvement of the 100 meter running achievement in terms of the leg muscle strength of each runner. This research uses experimental design of 1 factor with two levels. The subject of this research is the students of Faculty of Sport Science of Cenderawasih University, amounting to 20 people. The instruments used are Leg Dynamometer and 100 meters Run Test. Data analysis technique used is analysis of variance test (ANAVA). The results of this study indicate that the value of increased speed of 100 meters running Ultra - Short Interval Sprint Training (high leg muscle strength) 2.104, and the value of increased speed of running 100 metersShort Interval Sprint Training (low leg muscle strength) 428. This research shows the effect before received the Ultra - Short Interval Sprint Training Method. The greatest effect on the 100 meter achievement improvement occurred on the Ultra - Short Interval Sprint Training practice method with high leg muscle strength.
