This study will analyze: (1) The definition of apanage and bekel, (2) Kingdoms that implemented the apanage and bekel system, and (3) The rights and obligations of apanage and bekel recipients. This study was compiled using historical methodology, namely; Heuristics, Criticism, Interpretation and Historiography to analyze primary sources and reconstruct historical narratives. The background of this study will focus on the importance of land as a vital resource for supporting society and the differences in perspectives on land ownership, which distinguish the Communal and Feudal land power systems during the kingdom. In the Implementation of Kingdom Land Rights there is an Apanage and Bekel system which is an effort by the king to provide wages for the services of the kingdom's bureaucrats. Ultimately, it contributes to the broader discourse on land rights and governance in the context of Indonesian history, by highlighting the enduring legacies of feudal and communal systems in contemporary land issues.
