Abstract

Peran guru kurang penting pada awal pemerintahan kolonial Belanda di Hindia Belanda karena belum ada sistem pendidikan terencana namun semenjak tahun 1848 pemerintah kolonial Belanda menyediakan anggaran belanja bidang pendidikan bagi pribumi sebesar Rp25.000 gulden artinya peranan guru mulai diperhatikan sesuai dengan situasi di Belanda maupun Belanda. di Hindia Belanda Meskipun ada diskriminasi peran guru meningkat sejak pemerintah banyak membangun sekolah formal tingkat rendah sehingga pemerintah kolonial Belanda pada tahun 1892 memutuskan untuk mengangkat guru tanpa pendidikan guru tetapi melalui ujian guru cara ini dilakukan karena sedikit yang mau menjadi guru bahkan profesi guru hanya dipakai sebagai batu loncatan menjadi pegawai pamong praja untuk menarik minat siswa supaya memasuki sekolah guru maka pemerintah kolonial Belanda berusaha memberikan fasilitas yang menarik bagi calon siswa.                                                            The role of teachers was less important at the beginning of the Dutch colonial government in the Dutch East Indies because there was no planned education system, but since 1848 the Dutch colonial government provided a budget for education for natives of IDR 25,000 guilders, meaning that the role of teachers began to be considered according to the situation in the Netherlands and the Netherlands. in the Dutch East Indies, even though there was discrimination, the role of teachers increased since the government built many low-level formal schools, so the Dutch colonial government in 1892 decided to appoint teachers without teacher education, but through teacher exams, this was done because few wanted to become teachers, even the teaching profession was only used as a As a stepping stone to become a civil service employee, to attract students to enter teachers' schools, the Dutch colonial government tried to provide attractive facilities for prospective students.
