PERANAN PANTI SOSIAL TRESNA WERDHA “TAT TWAM ASI” DALAM PEMBERDAYAAN LANJUT USIA (LANSIA) DISTRIK SENTANI KABUPATEN JAYAPURA

Abstract

This article is the result of research on pera Nursing Home Sasana Tresna Wedha which is located in the Sentani District of Jayapura Regency in empowering the elderly. The method used is descriptive method. Data collection techniques used are Library Studies, Observations, Ques-tionnaires, and Interviews, while processing and analysis techniques use quantitative and qualita-tive analysis. The results of the study indicate that the role of social institutions is viewed in terms of services and products, it can be said that it has not been maximally implemented. Because the services provided by the institution are very limited. Similarly, the products produced are not op-timal. Furthermore, empowering the elderly can be said that it has not been maximized in its im-plementation, due to the limited supply of funds that support activities.
