Abstract

SD YPK 1 Imanuel Hamadi is one of private schools which was established by the Christian Education Foundation (YPK) in Papua. The purpose of this service activity is to recharge the understanding of the concept of fractions in teachers in the school such that they can explain fractions to their students more easily. The method used in this activity is the presentation about fractions and fraction operations accompanied by several examples that can help the teachers to better understand the concept of fractions. The teachers were also given the opportunity to directly ask questions when there was material they did not understand. The result of evaluation shows that after participating in this activity, the understanding of the teachers about the concept of fractions is increased significantly.
