Performa Transportasi Ikan Kerapu Cantang (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus × Epinephelus lanceolatus) pada Variasi Kepadatan Biomassa Menggunakan Wadah Sekunder Vertikal dalam Sistem Tangki Tertutup

Penentuan kepadatan biomassa yang tepat merupakan faktor krusial dalam meminimalkan stres fisiologis selama distribusi ikan hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan menimbulkan pengaruh variasi kepadatan (15 kg, 16 kg, dan 17 kg per wadah) terhadap sintasan dan respon respirasi ikan Kerapu Cantang ( Epinephelus fuscoguttatus × E. lanceolatus ) pada simulasi transportasi tertutup selama 72 jam. Menggunakan sistem hiperoksia dan suhu rendah (21,0–22,5°C), hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variasi kepadatan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap kelangsungan hidup (P > 0,05), dengan tingkat sintasan tetap terjaga di atas 92% pada seluruh perlakuan. Namun peningkatan kepadatan biomassa berpengaruh sangat signifikan (P < 0,05) terhadap Frekuensi Bukaan Operkulum (FBO). Kepadatan 17 kg memicu stres respirasi akut (120 kali/menit) dan kerusakan fisik pada sirip, sementara kepadatan 15 kg menunjukkan kondisi homeostasis paling stabil (75 kali/menit). Disimpulkan bahwa kepadatan 15–16 kg/wadah merupakan standar optimal untuk menjaga kualitas fisik dan kesejahteraan ikan Kerapu Cantang dalam transportasi jarak jauh.
